Belly Dance Class
Thursdays 5:30pm-6:25pm | $40 per month
This course will cover belly dancing moves for beginners and intermediate students. Mixed-level instruction will meet dancers where they are in their dance education. The class will include hip, arm and shoulder movements, and traveling moves, put together in combinations and sequences. A few new movements will be introduced in each class to build comprehensive dance knowledge over time. Be ready to sweat and make friends. All bodies are welcome in this class.
What to bring!
Dancers may choose to dance either barefoot, or in dance shoes. A hipscarf is recommended but not required (It doesn't have to be a coin scarf, anything to outline your hips will do!) Please wear clothing that you can move in. You do not have to show your belly, but you are welcome to do so at your own comfort level.
Caution: belly dance classes can lead to a life-long appetite for Arabic music, rhinestones, and spontaneous dance parties.
Sign up for our next session and get your shimmy on! You must register in advance for the month. Registration details.
Students must be 18 years or older. CoEd classes are possible, but all students are expected to fully participate in class curriculum. You may not sit on the side and "watch". For questions please reach out to Lenora at firstname.lastname@example.org.

March 2019 Amethyst Dance Festival Accelerated Workshop with Lenora Noire
"Something Old, Something New- Golden Era and Modern Oriental"
In this express workshop students will learn one combination, but style it two ways. Working between styling from the modern and Golden eras creates diversity of movement in hands, face, arms, and hips. We will also have a brief discussion on the major dancers of the Golden era and costuming and music differences between the genres.
April 2018 Special Event Wine and Workout Happy Hour
